Basva's beloved Arshad Ali Khan will be the Superintendent of Police of Hanumangarh district | New India Times

In the transfer list of 58 police officers released in Rajasthan, after the transfer order of Arshad Ali Khan, posted as DCP (Crime) Jaipur, to the post of Superintendent of Police Hanumangarh, he will now be the District Superintendent of Police for the second time after Salambur. Arshad Ali, a resident of Beswa village of Sikar district, was educated at Aligarh Muslim University, a renowned institution of India, and his wife Zarina Bano is currently the Sarpanch of Beswa Gram Panchayat.

The Muslim community of Rajasthan is considered educationally weak in comparison to other states across India. Among the Indian Police Service officers posted in the state, except Shaheen C IPS, currently posted as Superintendent of Police of Sikar city, all other Muslim IPS officers have been promoted from Rajasthan Police Service and posted there.

Murad Ali Abra, Liaquat Ali Khan, Nisar Ahmed Farooqui and Kunwar Sarwar Khan, who became IPS officers after getting promoted from Rajasthan Police Service, retired from the post of IGP and Firoz Ahmed Sindhi and Haider Ali Zaidi got promoted to the post of DIG. Apart from these, Tariq Alam was also an IPS officer. Currently, Arshad Ali got promoted and Shaheen C got directly selected from Indian Public Service Association and both are IPS. Apart from this, Maqsood Ahmed of Alwar district also got directly selected as IPS and is posted in Haryana cadre.

Overall, Shaheen C is the first and till now the only IPS posted in Rajasthan cadre in Police Service. Apart from these, all have become IPS after getting promoted from State Police Service. Currently, Shaheen C and Arshad Ali are the only two Muslim IPS officers posted in the state.
